Pavtube Video Converter

Over the years, we’ve had many customers ask us which product they should use on their windows or mac PC to manage their videos (convert, merge, trim, rip, etc).   We’ve done some research and found a product we believe can really help coaches accomplish video tasks easily.

Its called Pavtube HD Video Converter, and it has several key features that can help you …

  • Merge camcorder files prior to uploading
  • Compressing large videos to a more manageable size so they upload faster
  • Convert video to a standard format
  • Rip video from DVDs

It’s an extremely affordable option ($35) and works on both Mac and Windows. It comes preloaded with support for all standard formats, and can handle HD.  You can use their built into HD video output format, but you can also customize the output to be ideal for TeamXStream.

If you are in need of a good video conversion tool, you can buy this product using the order links below.

After installing the program, you can create your own custom formats that use the ideal settings for TeamXStream.  In the example below, we’ve created a TXS 1080p format and a TXS 720p format.  You can use the same TXS formats for all of your conversions jobs (merges or individual files).  Note, for merges you have to click the box for “Merge into one file”.

Below you can see that we’ve created two custom formats.  We started with the HD Video -> H.264 HD Video (*.mp4) format and then made a few minor changes.  Once done, you can save the new format with the TXS label and it will be stored under Custom (see below).

Here are the details for the customized TXS formats.  The 720p might be best suited for when you are uploading on the road, where your internet might be less dependable.

Here are the settings for HD 1080p.  The primary difference is the size and bitrate.   We feel that medium quality should be sufficient and will not sacrifice video quality if you capture/record in 1080p on your camera.

We feel that its a very easy product to use, and it performs very well compared to other programs we’ve tried.  In side by side comparisons, it merges/converts video faster than other desktop programs.  It does a good job of using all of your computers CPU to get the job done as quickly as possible.

Beware of freeware/shareware video converters, they often don’t work as described, are difficult to use, or install other malicious software that you don’t want and didn’t ask for.

If you need any assistance with this product, please let us know and we’ll do our best to help you.
